Departure and Arrival

It turned out to be lovely snowy day on Monday. Perfect for staying at home and staying warm and safe. And definitely not the time to get on a cross-country flight that you then need to transfer to an international flight from.

Love this snowman, was kind of sick of the snowOf course you could always need to leave then and start a trek to Minneapolis. My mom and dad and brother Ben came with me and I was grateful for the company. I also brought along this little guy, a stuffed key chain snowman as a memento from home. According to his tag, his name is "Cole".
Luckily, my plane wasn't delayed at all and I began my first flight from MSP to LAX. I had a window seat, which led to some lovely views (as seen below), but I think I was sitting right behind the engine, because it was quite loud. There was also someone with a severe peanut allergy on board, so no airline peanuts.

Everything looked so small from up thereSunset at whatever odd time it was
My second flight from LA to Sydney was delayed slightly, which was nice for me, because I had a bit of a lull between rather than a rush from one plane to the other. I don't have any pictures from that flight as I was in the middle of the plane and you would've only seen backs of heads. I thought we were only getting one meal on that flight, but ended up having three, which were pretty good.

We landed in Sydney on schedule, but had to wait 4 hours for others to arrive before we could take our taxi. I am now in the apartment where I'll be leaving for the next few months. Below is the view from where I am now. I may post a more comprehensive layout later. For now, It's a humid ~76 degrees with on and off thunderstorms.

The perspective on this is weird. Everything is tilted odd ways.

I know I like it though.
I don't know if Cole likes the heat yet.
